School of Obama

First it was social promotions. When our children had difficulty passing, we went to a pass/fail system that no longer honored achievement but simply sent the student on to the next grade in order to NOT stigmatize the child. Less emphasis was placed on factual and historical learning and placed on project achievements and social awareness sensitivity. 2 + 2 could = 5 if we tried hard. And we get dumber.

Next we went to No Child Left Behind. In order to increase the minimal education level of American students, we began to “test Teach”. That is, the teachers and schools were evaluated based on test scores. Teachers left behind the teaching of the subjects and instead emphasized teaching only the information that appeared on the “achievement tests”. And we continued getting dumber.

Now it appears we have arrived at some new system of evaluation. It is based upon student charisma, likability and how much the student struggled with his background. The latest polls show that President Obama has the LOWEST approval ratings ever for a President after his first year in office, yet when asked about his work as president, Mr. Obama stated that he would grade himself a “B+”. A “B+”?!? That’s amazing! According to what grading system could you rate the Obama presidency a “B+”? Perhaps with the Jimmy Carter grade as the standard; then maybe on that curve Mr. Obama’s grade could improve. After his first year in office:

1. Mr. Obama has led America to apologize for every ill world event in the last 300 years. Obviously history doesn’t matter in the Obama education plan.

2. Mr. Obama has led America to the highest unemployment rate since Carter’s tenure in office. At least we have not seen the return of the “Misery Index”. Obviously, social studies is not a pre-requisite in the Obama education evaluation system.

3. Under the Obama watch, the largest debt ceiling in American history has been reached as the American economy continues its downward spiral with the attack on small business, the insurance companies, Wall Street, the vacation industry, the aviation industry, the medical field, banks, home building, home mortgage, the automobile industry, etc, etc, etc. So Math and Economics is no longer required basics in the Obama School of learning.

4. Obama has continued his assault on the U. S. Constitution. Freedoms of Speech, Freedom of Religion, the 2nd Amendment, and the right to pursue happiness and health have all been discarded. Looks like American Government is no longer on the curriculum at the Obama School of Hope and Change.

5. The continued pursuit of Global Warming and the revelations of the e-mails that confirm the hoax being perpetrated on the American people (and the rest of the world) show us that Science has also been removed from the curriculum for the Obama School of Tax and Spend and Tax Some More

So what’s on the syllabus?

3. Support for community organizations for voter fraud and graft

4. Solicitation/ fundraising

5. Promotion and payback for union corruption

6. Good intentions

7. Extra credit for being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize without actually doing anything

Okay, as long as we live in a society where 2 + 2 can = 5 based upon a good intentions; where we won’t keep score at little league ballgames since it may stigmatize the young cherubs; where welfare is more profitable than employment; where we are provided by government agencies translations in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, French and Farsi instead of expecting people to learn the language spoken in the country they are living in; where a congresswoman believes that Americans have walked upon Mars; where we elect failed, foul-mouthed and unfunny comedians to senate seats; where we count the votes from the dead, prison convicts and illegal aliens while rejecting the votes from our members of the Armed Forces serving in harm’s way; where our taxes fund lying, cheating, embezzling criminal organizations and call them “community organizers”; where plagiarists can be elected Vice President of the United States; where former radicals who murder police officers can advise the president of the United States; where convicted felons can write the health care agenda and attend White House State Parties; where the national security of the United States would be sacrificed to pass the socialistic health care bill; then President Obama was too modest, he has obviously earned an A+. Besides, if there was anything lacking on the Obama report card, it was George Bush’s fault for eating his homework, Obama can’t be marked down for that, right?

The MSM and Tiger Woods

That Tiger Woods. Has he no sense of integrity, no degree of respectability. After this past week the press has been really digging into the hypocrisy of Mr. Woods and the violation of marital and public trust. The scorecard shows he has had indiscriminate sex with at least 10 partners and counting. Now look out the White House lawn. Forty plus Democrat Congressmen, Senators and cabinet officials have formed a line to stand behind this lying adulterer – oh, wait, my mistake. That crowd was showing support for Bill Clinton.

Oh, now I see what happened. Tiger Woods has indeed committed adultery. Even though main stream press has ignored the story, the National Inquirer was there for the American people who deserve to know whenever a public figure has been gallivanting in the wrong bedroom at their expense. There is even a love child as one of his aide claims the parentage of. That disgusting Woods, there he is hiding in a men’s room toilet to avoid the . . . –oops, I’m sorry. Because the mainstream press didn’t report that news, I got it mixed up. That story was about a Democrat Presidential candidate John Edwards.

That disgusting Tiger, he was in a Washington bar with another golfer and they had a waitress trapped between them on the floor. We should have known this type event could happen; after all, remember the pregnant mistress who drown . . . wrong again, that was the beloved Democrat Senator Teddy Kennedy with Democrat Senator Dodd, not Tiger Woods. I was confused because, the press refused to report that story too.

That Tiger Woods, he was calling an escort service. Now what a man does in private is none of the public’s business, but when he uses government funds to pay for the prostitution service the press has to report this violation and cover it wall to wall every day and break in with every little development. . .what is wrong with me, that was the Democrat Gov. Elliot Spitzer.

How much more humiliation does Mrs. Woods have to endure because of Tiger’s duplicity. Now we find out that Tiger and his mistress were down at the attorney’s office 8 months before Mrs. Woods is served divorce papers, and the mistress is involved with government funds…oh wait, that wasn’t Tiger Woods either. It was Max Baucus, the 6th longest tenured Democrat Senator from Montana.

At least Tiger Woods is not a congressman whose prostitute homosexual boyfriend was running a male gay brothel out of his house, because I am sure if that had been Mr. Woods, surely he would be forced to resign, isn’t that correct, Democrat Congressman (“I’m not an outdoorsman so I didn’t know that forest my boyfriend was growing in my back yard was marijuana”) Frank?

Certainly Tiger Woods has violated the vows of marriage and trust of his wife. As a public figure, he has forfeited the right to be a role model and has been fired as a spokesman for several national ad campaigns; but if he had been a Democrat politician, we might never have even heard of his disgrace.

So what do all of these people have in common? They are all white while Tiger Woods is black. So therefore I can only conclude that the Main Stream Media must be racist because, as they have hammered in to us for the past two years, pointing out an African American’s actual failures and shortcomings is just plain racism.

By the way, Gov. Sanford, where is your resignation, please?!

WHY DO LIBERALS HATE PRAYER?

Why do liberals hate prayer?

I see the attack on Christian prayer and its affect in the public discourse of life. The United States is a country that stands in the tradition of prayer. From inauguration of presidents to assemblies of congress prayer has been a part of the American political fiber. Our military institutions have from the beginning invoked the strength and providence of Almighty God before troops engaged in battle. Today’s military continues to provide chaplains for the fighting men to make peace with God. Presidents, since the days of George Washington to the National Days of Prayer invoked by President George W. Bush, have led our nation in prayer in times of crisis. Even while proposing laws to restrict freedom of prayer our Congress begins its sessions with prayer. Our Supreme Court that has passed limits on public prayer invokes God in its inscription at the building that houses this austere organization.

Yet, since 1963, prayer has been under attack by a liberal agenda that desires to remove it from our schools, our public assemblies and our hometown celebrations. I have often wondered why a group of people have such a hate-filled objection to a practice of faith that they proscribe to not even believe in. So why do liberals hate prayer?

Because prayer works.

Let us assume for a minute that there is no God and that prayer is a simple empty ritual. Even that does not keep prayer for having its effect on the lives of believers and in the life of a society. Prayer works much like the baker’s leaven, changing the quality of life, the character of the believer and those upon whom the believer influences and the very fiber of the society in which it is plied. The first century Roman government was ruled by pagan worshippers who enriched themselves while its citizenry lived in squalor. Its leaders participated in every form of licentious behavior including pornography, bestiality, homosexuality and adultery as an accepted way of aristocratic life. Roman society held little regard for the value of life. Abortion, desertion of children and the sick, slavery and inhumane treatment of political captives were daily events with no remorse or recourse. Women, children, slaves and foreigners had no legitimate status in social life. The Apostle Paul commanded the early Christians to pray for the government and its leaders, to pay taxes and to live orderly and peaceably. Within 300 years the prayers of Christians changed the course of civilization.

Prayer gives hope.

No matter the crisis, no matter the difficulty of task, the believer is never devoid of hope that comes from prayer. Even if the believer believes the answer is “no” we have hope that God is busy working on our behalf to bring about strength or repentance. As Paul prayed thrice for the thorn to be removed God’s answer was, “My grace is sufficient for you.” The liberal wants America to believe hope is available only through legislation, government policy or power of a select political party. Even when government cannot (and does not) provide or fulfill its promises, it points the finger at oppositional political forces to reinforce its hold on the electorate.

Prayer reinforces a higher calling.

Yes it is true that prayer addresses a higher power than a political leader. It focuses allegiance and belief to God. It demands an accountability for behavior. It calls for a response of human kindness and help to others. It demands a rejection of pride and prejudice that alienates people and unites each of us to benevolent action in times of tragedy, poverty and human heartache. When we pray for other we set aside prejudices of race, background, social status and educational achievement. Prayer puts to action the belief that all men are truly created equal. Prayer produces a righteous and moral behavior. The agenda of the liberal is to enacted laws and policies that outlaw and ban religious practices. There is a standard of morality and a standard of patriotic behavior that conflicts with the liberal agenda. Liberalism depends upon distorting moral and righteous behavior in order to change allegiance and curry favor with those who lack the desire to abstain from corrupt behavior. Prayer demands a repentance that requires public people to abide by a high standard of moral behavior in public and private life. When a public figure engages in immoral behavior the call is to repentance and not permission to continue in reprobate behavior. Repentance often demands the removal and loss of public trust and responsibility. It is not sufficient for the behavior to be ignored, or blame the behavior on circumstances or people or to justify through excuses the behavior to be passed on to the political opponent as a “vast right wing conspiracy”. Or a reason that the behavior should be overlooked, such as “it depends upon what the meaning of is, is”. The liberal seeks to make policies and pass laws that ban and outlaw standards of living and then provide excuses and exemptions to the select.

In ancient Persia, in an effort to rid evil men of the righteous influence of Daniel, his opponents followed Daniel to see what his habits were. Daniel was a man of prayer. To bring about Daniel’s downfall, they passed a law to make it illegal to pray to God. (It was legal to pray to their gods, just not the Almighty to whom Daniel prayed.) So when Daniel prayed, he was cast into the den of lions. The liberal agenda has outlawed prayer in schools, public assemblies and hometown celebrations. It begins by changing our holidays and traditions. In the past 40 years it began by banning prayer in the morning devotionals. It progressed to PTA meetings. Soon sporting events and holiday programs were forbidden to mention God in announcements, prayers or songs. Graduation and commencement ceremonies were banned from religious observations. The attack began with mocking public discourse and elevated to enforcing fines. Can imprisonment be far behind? Truly when prayer is outlawed; only outlaws will have prayer!

Prayer reinforces inner character and strength.

The liberal agenda depends upon a nation whose character is weakened, lacks resolve and relies on governmental favor for day to day existence. Prayer builds our character, strengthens resolve and promotes morally discipline and self-reliance. When there is an earthquake in Asia, a typhoon is the Pacific and flood or famine in Africa, the prayer of Christians goes out to the altar of God followed by assistance of help, supplies, food and money. From the founding of the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Christian Relief Fund serve as a few of the many avenues the prayer of Christians are focused. Prayer promotes our allegiance to those righteous causes and requires praying for our leaders even when we disagree with their policies and agenda.

Prayer works.

People who pray lead happier and longer lives. Liberals demand a populace that lives in misery and relies upon government for relief. People who pray are self reliant. Liberals require people to empower them who are dependent upon government handouts, welfare and social programs that meet minimum social needs. People who pray are patriotic. Liberals want a populace that rejects allegiance to ideals, principles and spiritual values. When these concepts are rejected and subdued, liberal programs rush to fill the un-fill-able void in order to self-generate itself in perpetuity.

-People who pray trust in God. -People who pray demand a higher public example of appropriate behavior. -People who pray display mercy and kindness to others, helping through sacrifice of time, talent and money to those who face the hardships and tragedies of life.

Prayer can move mountains, heal the sick and help the needy and hurting. It directs our focus on the Almighty God not on the Almighty Government. That is why liberals hate prayer.

Buy the Truth and Sell it Not

In the movie, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, the newspaper editor and his reporter have just finished hearing the true story from Jimmy Stewart about the Liberty Valance incident. When the true story conflicts with the legend, the reporter asks, “What shall we do?” The editor replies “Print the legend.”

How appropriate is this scenario when applied to our press today. Solomon records from the Proverbs “Buy the truth and SELL it not.” If only the freedom of the press, for which our founding fathers fought for and sacrificed their lives on the battlefields of war, meant today that reporters would hold that standard of truth as a core precept of their profession. Unfortunately that standard has fallen and we are all the poorer because of it.

Of course I should not complain. Last fall, I was told by the press that if I voted for John McCain, that

Our country would be divided by the harshest partisan politics ever
Our economy would go in the dumpster
U. S. foreign policy would be controlled by self-interest groups
Voting fraud would rise and we could not ever trust the integrity of the voting system again
There would be protests in the streets of America
We would have the most incompetent vice president ever

Well, the press was correct. I voted for John McCain and every one of those things happened.

As we protest with the TEA Parties across our nation and are smeared as right-wing radicals by the Obama Attack Machine, perhaps it is time to include a protest against the press. Let us quit buying newspapers. Let us turn off the network and cable news casts and only support those that are “Fair and Balanced”. Let us support talk radio and promote the blog opinion makers and hold those with an agenda and sell away the truth accountable.

SHAME ON YOU, AMERICA

Move over December 7th, there is a new day of infamy. The American heritage that we have for so long cherished has been assaulted to a new low. January 20, 2009 will take its rightful place where America’s shame was displayed to the whole world. What do I mean? Does the inauguration of the first black president stir up prejudice? No, absolutely not! But I am ashamed of the public display and ridicule the American public, the national news media and the restored to power Democratic Party has proven true to its political emblem – the ass!

8 years ago a decent man was inaugurated. With dignity he thanked the outgoing administration and never, ever brought up the disgraceful behavior of the previous administration. The new president-elect in 2000 refused to embarrass , ridicule or criticize his predecessor choosing instead to treat the office of president as above partisan political battles, innuendo and insult and comport himself with dignity in his public actions and proclamations. His inauguration was a celebration of the system that allows the peaceful transition of power to occur every 4 years. His inaugural festivities were not used to denigrate the outgoing administration nor attack the beliefs of the defeated opponents.

But just like the Wellstone funeral that turned from a day to celebrate the life achievements and mourn the death of an American civil servants into a public display of indecency and political campaign rhetoric; so, too, the Obama administration, its coronation entourage, and its rude supporters showed their lack of social etiquette by turning the celebration and triumph of our political system into a Bush-bash, republican-bash and a bash of the American middle-class that paid for, endorsed and supported Mr. Obama’s candidacy.

The mockery of American tradition from the poet, the insult to white America in the eulogy prayer, the disgusting, reprehensible and impudent behavior of the audience who acted as though they were in attendance at a European soccer match instead of witnessing the majestic inauguration of a new president and chose insult to a man who served his country with dignity and honor, and a media who continues to violate their commission and public trust to broadcast their version of news, instead choosing to analyze with bias and half-truths based upon their own political leanings to sling their propaganda over the public airways.

To top it all off, the Christian faith upon which this heritage was founded and protected the rights and freedoms of minorities was relegated to slander, attack and ridicule.

When public behavior has stooped to its new depths, pity those who have wasted the blessings and insult the heritage that has allowed all men and women to live, learn, work and worship with freedom. As He did in the days in the Garden with Adam and Eve, may God cloth our shame.

Axis of Evil

In his State of the Union Speech in 2002, President Bush, speaking to a joint session of Congress, announced his warning shot to America and the world that there was an axis of evil. This evil threat to the U.S. comprised of Iraq, Iran and North Korea. Systematically, Pres. Bush began to dismantle the threats. Leading a regime change in Iraq and bringing N. Korea to the negotiation table, this axis has been slowly but surely been reduced. He concluded with the warning that this would not be a quick fix but take maybe a decade or two; the American people should not lose heart.

As Pres. Bush prepares to leave office, he should announce to the American public about the current axis of evil: Pelosi, Reid and Obama. This triumvirate is every bit as threatening to the American way of life as the previous axis of evil. President Bush was inaugurated into office while the US was dealing with a recession begun during the Clinton administration. Righting the course, the economy was rocked by the devastation of 9/11. Rallying the US economy through integrity of leadership instead of political machinations, we enjoyed a boost surpassing any previously era of prosperity. The stock market broke the 12,000 barrier and then a democratic majority was elected to congress. The 5 year boom years came to an end. Reid and Pelosi came to majority power and the economy began its decline. Even though these 2 congressional leaders personally prospered with their land dealings and “children’s businesses”. They engineered legal loopholes to feed the greed, eliminate personal responsibility and share the wealth philosophy that has brought our nation to an economic crisis that Al Qaeda was unable to achieve with their attack on 9/11.

Together, they tabled legislation to allow the rape of several prominent financial institutions. Only recently have they lip synced the need for offshore drilling. They are now promising to reverse any legislation they had to pass as soon as they retain the Washington leadership. They have fought for the rights of terrorists over the rights of American “victims/citizens”. They have illegally met with those whose agendas were opposed to our national defense and the war on terror.

Now, they have enlarged their circle to include Senator Barack Obama. He intends to accelerate the fall of free enterprise and crush the small business owner. He is promising to surrender in Iraq which will allow the rebuilding of Al Qaeda. He will handcuff the justice department and allow the terrorists captured during war to return to their conclaves while “prosecuting the illegal Bush leadership for war crimes”. The 3 CEO’s of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Leman Brothers after having brought down these institutions have moved over to Obama’s campaign staff where they had previously sent campaign contributions from their respective organizations.

In the gospels we are warned to “beware of wolves in sheep clothing” ( "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves".-Matthew 7:15). Well, if the wolf is dressed like the sheep, how can we tell the difference? You can tell the difference by what they eat. Sheep eat grass. Wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing eat sheep. How can you tell that Pelosi, Reid and Obama are wolves? Because they eat up the American tradition, values, and heritage. The want to change the constitution (which secures our rights) by passing legislation and appointing judges that ignore their constitutional judicial obligation and legislate from the bench, imposing the social changes that will entrench their political power, secure their personal wealth and destroy the heritage they were elected to office to protect and defend. They want to legislate against free speech to silence the heritage that built this country. They want to protect the innocent life of obscure field mice but legislate the murder of innocent and helpless unborn babies. They want to increase American dependence on foreign oil and handcuff our independence. They want to open the borders to any and all immigrants no matter what the threat to national security and economic stability in order to enlarge their voting base.

These three wolves are devouring our heritage, our freedoms and our economy. They consume the American public. They are truly wolves who feast upon the public for which they are pledged to serve. A new axis of evil has emerged as a threat to America. Let us move decisively at the voting booth to remove these threats before all future elections will be so corrupt as to secure their power to devour the traditions and heritage held so dear.

Angry Republican

John McCain asked us at the GOP convention to stand up and fight with him. We are fighting, but why isn’t Sen. McCain?

I was encouraged when I saw the news of people at his events, filled with anger and calling for Sen. McCain to fight. But then today we saw him almost endorse B. Hussein Obama. Does Sen. McCain not understand our anger? We are not mad at Sen. McCain. Even those of us who don't agree with some of his political positions share an enormous respect him for the sacrifices he has made his entire life for our country. If any man could earn the Presidency of the United States, John McCain surely has earned it through his personal sacrifices and the torture he endured during his years of captivity. But, as you all well know, we don’t select our President that way. We give the Presidency to the person who motivates us to cast our votes by proving to us that he (or she) shares our values and will protect our country from people who want to do harm to it. Sen. McCain is in an ideal position to motivate this country to elect him. Our country has spared itself from a subsequent terrorist attack on our soil because of strong Republican leadership in the White House. The current economic crisis in our country is the direct result of the carelessness and ineptitude of Democrat lawmakers who forced banks to provide mortgages to people who could not afford homes. And, on top of everything else, the opposing party has chosen as its presidential nominee a man so unqualified and incompetent that the only thing he knows how to do well is make friends with terrorists, thieves and hate mongering racist. Sen. McCain is aware of these facts, but he has yet to point them out to a national audience. We need to hear him say that he is not going to let us take the blame for everything that is wrong with the world anymore. We want to hear him say the war in Iraq was the right thing to do. We need to hear him say that Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Jimmy Carter are the cause of this economic crisis. Sen. McCain defended us in Vietnam, giving everything short of his life, I honor the fact that he survived just to irritate his captors, but we want that warrior back. For eight years the Bush administration has sat quietly in the White House and allowed the Left to demonize him, his administration, and those of us who supported and voted for him and we are tired of it. President Bush has kept us safe for 8 years. Sen. McCain should honor that and defend it and promise to keep us just as safe during his term. Obama talks about stopping genocide, why does Sen. McCain not challenge Obama on why he voted to ensure genocide in Iraq? And if you believe Obama about him being the lone voice against the war in Iraq to begin with, then why was he voicing opposition to end the genocide that Saddam and his two sons were causing in Iraq? Why did Obama support Odinga, and has never denounced him, who caused genocide in Kenya? We are angry.

-We are angry that ACORN is still operating. If Sen. McCain wants to suspend his campaign and go back to Washington to defend this country, do it to take the floor of the Senate and put a stop to ACORN!

-We are angry that our President didn’t defend our party or himself.

-We are angry that Congress did not protect us from our Congress as they allowed abuse and corruption for political gain at our expense, we are really angry that our President and our Party leaders have allowed the Democrats and the MSM to place the blame on us for it

-We are angry that the radical Left wants to throw away 300 years of National Pride and Tradition and our party leaders are quietly allowing it to happen as to not offend the Press and the small minority of those who hate our country.

-We are angry that Obama and his campaign have called a national hero dishonorable and McCain and his campaign have allowed him to get away with it.

So, Sen. McCain, will you sound the trumpet for battle, for surrender or retreat? It is time to lead, or else you should never have entered the fray. It is not good enough to simply run for president of the United States if you didn't enter the contest to lead AMERICA TO VICTORY.

We are fighting for Sen. McCain, when is he going to join us?

I received a call from one of the leading members of my congregation. His teenage son had gone on an outing with friends to the beach. One of the young men in the car asked him to stop at the local AM/PM Mini-mart in order to buy a bag of ice. On the way out the door, the young man picked up a carton of beer and, upon entering the car said to my friend’s son, “Let’s get out of here. Step on it!” Not knowing what was happening, he complied. That evening my friend’s son had been arrested for theft. He told his dad and the arresting officer that he didn’t steal anything. He didn’t know the other boy was going to steal anything. He did not even leave the car. The police officer said that it didn’t matter; he was there with his friend when the theft happened, and therefore he was an accessory. Friends can get us into trouble. When one has bad friends the chance for trouble increases. Which bring us to William Ayers. This man is an unrepentant terrorist. He plotted and carried out bombings on government institutions. I know that a person can repent and receive a fresh start; but William Ayers did not repent nor did he want a fresh start. His remarks following the Al Qaeda attack on the WTC and Pentagon on 9-11 were, “I wish we had done more.” William Ayers has an admitted agenda against capitalism and the United States. As a leader of the SDS, he is opposed to the Constitution and he has avowed hatred for the heritage of our country and its institutions. William Ayers is Barak Obama’s mentor. Jim Johnson, the former head of Fannie May, repaid his patronage by donating the funds from the home mortgage giant to the Barak Obama campaign (as well as the coffers of several key Democrat senators and congressmen/women.) He received his golden parachute of $21 million before the institution that was bailed out. Shortly thereafter, he went on to his next appointment as key advisers for Barak Obama and his campaign for presidency.

Tony Rezco, a convicted money launderer and thief, was Mr. Obama financial advisor during his rise up the Chicago and Illinois party hierarchy. His financial shadow has been lurking in the background while Mr. Obama has built his financial resources in preparation for the political run to public office. If elected, will this country reek from the stench of a pardon coming from the White House to reward Mr. Rezco for his silence? With no major achievements he became the pawn of the Chicago political machine and was elected into the U.S. Senate where again his mediocrity was parleyed into 1 keynote speech at the ’04 democrat convention and less than 2 years as a senator.

Each step of this community organizer has resulted in the benefit of himself.

Jesus never sought the betterment of others in order to benefit his own career or his own financial portfolio. Jesus never used his public service connections to buy a newer, bigger, better house. Jesus even commented, “the foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nest, but the son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20 The only benefit Jesus ever had with his wealthy friends was to be buried in a rich man’s tomb.

Even though she never degraded community organizers, Sarah Palin likened being mayor of a small town as a community organizer with responsibility. She worked for the town and her co-citizens which she served; she applied for state office to battle corruption in the governor’s office. She never used her office to buy herself a mansion. She did not become wealthy as governor or organize a political machine to advocate her selection as vice presidential candidate. Governor Palin did not compare herself to Jesus. This humble servant instead compared herself to a pit bull with lipstick.

What did Pontius Pilate do?

When Does Life Begin?

When does life begin? According to Barrack Obama, this is a very complicated question. According to Democrat Party, principles and policies, life begins when it becomes taxable! Of course that does not hold true about death because one is taxable after he dies (i.e., the death tax). When I vote, I don’t vote according to which candidate and/or party promises me the best financial benefits, I vote according to a morality standard. Even though I appreciate the financial and tax breaks afforded me as election promises, I cast my vote for the candidate and/or the party that values life. Today it may be the life of the newborn. Tomorrow it may be the life of the elderly. Perhaps in the future it could be the life of the disabled, disadvantaged or the impoverished. Nazi Germany determined it was the life of the Jewish population that was expendable. During this past primary season, I had 3 friends who were pregnant and delivered babies less than 2 pounds. My sympathy went out to those families because I believed that rarely will a baby less than 3 pounds could lived. How amazed I was 3 months later as each one of these infants have not only survived but have thrived. 2 of them have already been dismissed from the hospital and the third will be released shortly. Scripture teaches that God knows us from the womb.

The walls of Jerusalem had been broken down. The ravages of war had devastated the city. The walls had been burned with fire. Survivors had been left in great distress. The news of the carnage had reached the ears of Jeremiah, an official in the administration of Xerxes, the king of Persia. Nehemiah’s response to the news is recorded in his journal. “So it was when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying to the God of Heaven.” Nehemiah 1:4 I sat glued to the news on the television screen. Zealots had hijacked planes and flown them into the World Trade Center in New York City and Pentagon in Washington D. C. The targets of this heinous act lay in ruins. Over 3000 people had been murdered. Mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters fell victim to the deeds of evil men. The carnage served as a tomb for the killed, as a memorial to the lost, and an ensign of hatred to the perpetrators of evil . Four hijacked airplanes filled with passengers flew to their death. Rescue workers were killed trying to assist and save as many survivors as possible. I felt utterly hopeless. I could not lash out at the evil actions. I could not journey to New York City or Washington D.C. to help to clean up of the rubble. I could not provide comfort for the families of the victims. What could I do? Nehemiah tells us what he did. First he wept. Then he prayed. And he worked with the people to restore the relationship of a nation back to God. Then I said to them, “You see the distress we are in, how Jerusalem lays waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come let us build the wall of Jerusalem that we may no longer be an approach.” Nehemiah 2:17 There is a time for mourning. There is a time for prayer. Then that must be followed by a call to work and rebuild. With the passing of this past seven years, we have seen our nation mourn the loss incurred on September 11, 2001. We have seen a nation turn to God in renewed patriotic and religious zeal. We have seen our nation fortify itself with resolve to strengthen our defenses, cherish our traditions and restore our values against attacks by those with evil intent. In 2001 we stood as a nation on the precipice of division. Let us remember and honor the traditions of the past for which this country has been founded upon. Let us work for the future for the honor and character to build upon tomorrow. Revelations concerning the preaching of Rev. Wright have hit the airways recently; his message exhibits a recurring theme, petitioning God to curse America. Repeatedly his message condemns the country that shelters him, gave him an education, and provides him an environment to preach his anti-American, pro-Marxist theme of hate, rebellion and racial prejudice all the while providing him a 6 to 7 figure income to promote his bile.

His major thesis is that God has cursed this country and requests God to damn our country. I would like to share a few thoughts from this humble preacher whose message is not propped up by even a 6 figure income.

God has blessed this country from its very inception. History is replete with evidence of God’s providential hand in blessing the founding fathers and their efforts to colonize and organize a place where individual freedoms are protected, worship of the Creator and the invitation of grace and salvation of the Savior are considered divine rights of human endeavor, opportunity to achieve is an evolving process where people from all backgrounds have been and are constantly invited to participate in the great historical sociological and economic experiment.

I would like to address several areas where I see God’s provisions applied to our society.

Historical evidence abounds as even though Europeans obviously had access to the shores of the America before Columbus’ journey in 1492. Phoenicians from the time of Christ, Viking explorers and fishermen during the dark ages, and who knows how many others that evidence remains to be discovered. But why was Columbus’ journey the first to open the floodgates to this new world? Why was the discovery being made at the time when freedom of religion was being birthed? The Guttenberg Press had made the Bible accessible to the homes and languages of the world. Though the technology for a printing press was available to the Chinese for centuries, the Guttenberg press was used to print many religious booklets and Bible translation which had been previously forbidden. These people of faith made amazing sacrifices to establish new homes, new hope, and new opportunities in the New World where worship before God would be exempt from the persecutions that were initiated long before.

This new experiment in democracy received Divine approval as the colonies fought for independence against England. How could these 13 colonies hope to organize, defend themselves and defeat the most powerful nation in the world at that time? God’s blessing and England’s war against India paved the way to a war of Independence. Diverting many troops and resources, America was able to defeat a better armed, more experienced and superior financed enemy. Even the assistance from France, which had been long promised, providentially showed up on the Atlantic coast at just the time Cornwallis was experiencing a retreat that could not be completed due to the harbor being filled with French warships. Could this experiment in democracy succeed? Perhaps you could explain the major rallying attack in the Revolutionary War where during that cold and wintry December night George Washington was able to surprise the British troops and German mercenaries in a skirmish that renewed hope for the struggling Continental Army. During the War of 1812 the British troops set fire to the nation’s capital. Suddenly a tornado arose and the resulting storm put out the fire as well as killing troops who started the fire! The D-Day invasion should have been a complete disaster. A storm during the landing caused inexperienced pilots to panic since they were afraid of running into each other during the heavy formation. Paratroopers were scattered across the Cotentin Peninsula not landing anywhere near their drop zones. The German army, trying to determine the Allied strategy, was unable to organize a defense so they just sat rather than mount a defensive counterstrike ensuring a beachhead which opened up the progression of Allied troops marching across France and into Germany.

Our fledgling country was not a mature nation. There were many growing pains that must be experienced; as well as social issues and problems that must be corrected. Expansion from the Atlantic to the Pacific created as many problems as it solved as cultures clashes erased many cultures from Native American, Spanish, French, and German backgrounds. As new generations of immigrants arrived on the shores, new challenges and new prejudices evolved. But war became a great equalizer; uniting the different backgrounds into a common purpose. Individual battles were won when the hand of God held back weather fronts and allowed oftentimes inferior fighting forces to experience victories.

Mr. Wright, I challenge you to show me another nation where God has blessed its people so that a nerdy college dropout can become a multi-millionaire by turning a computer program into a software company named Microsoft. Where else can a spendthrift news paper delivery boy become a multi-millionaire by opening a discount store named Wal-Mart? ? Examine the financial fiasco of a portly, prosperity-deprived Missouri potato chip salesman in Kansas City. This young man was struggling from week to week. Constantly seeking new opportunities, he made his millions by hosting a nationwide radio audience of 20,000,000 people daily as the premier radio talk show host on his EIB Network.¹. Each year 32 to 64 young men, many of them raised by single parents and often coming from ghettos and/or gang-related backgrounds become instant millionaires as they are selected as first round draftees for the NBA and NFL. Where else can an adulterous religious leader receive a multi-million dollar home in a gated community provided by the labor, sacrifice and tax free contributions of his congregation while his sermons are filled with bile and disrespect for the blessings he has received?

Look, Mr. Wright, at a country where a tie salesman from Missouri could become President of the United States. Or how about a Texas schoolteacher become first the most powerful senator and then president of the U. S. who signed into law the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Where can the son of fruit farmers rise out of his poverty to serve as President of the United States being re-elected in the largest landslide ever before resigning as and later rehabilitating his reputation before his death? How about a peanut farmer from Georgia rise to governor of his state and be elected President and preside over a historic peace accord in the Middle East? What about a President who started out as a B movie actor whose most well known role was as a co-star to a chimpanzee? This chimpanzee’s co-star led a watermark event in world history that changed the political face of the world as the communist USSR collapsed without a shot. Let me ask you about a trailer park Lothario who became not only president but eventually a multi-millionaire. Mr. Wright where else could a man whose Kenyan father leave behind his ex-wife and son where that son could become the first truly viable African-American candidate to the office of President of the United States (that is, of course, unless his acquaintances destroy the credibility of his candidacy)? What other nation has been so blessed by God that these seemingly unqualified backgrounds could lead to such high political office?

Certainly Mr. Wright there are disparities in this country like there are in all other countries. These disparities are part of growing pains as societies, cultures and customs come under the microscope of societal evolution. But this societal change takes place in this God blessed country of America. Where else do you find a country such as ours where thousands of legal and illegal immigrants are willing to do whatever it takes to get in and work for a fresh start in life? When conjoined twins from Egypt need surgery to survive, they come to America for medical assistance. Our colleges and universities welcome countless foreign students desiring our education. Our armed forces train their soldiers and pilots how to serve. The destitute receive charity assistance to feed the deserted and outcasts of all other countries around the world. African nations receive more financial and medical assistance from America to combat AIDS than from all other countries in the world combined!

Our news stories report tragedies across the world. A 4.7 earthquake in Micronesia kills thousand and leaves countless homeless, while a 7.1 earthquake in San Francisco results in the deaths of less than 70. By the way, the hand of God allowed this devastating earthquake to occur while a world series ball game was scheduled to begin caused a normally crowded rush hour freeway that collapsed resulting instead of the death of thousands to only 42! 2752 die in the Twin Towers of the WTC during a terrorist attack that could have resulted in the deaths of between 30,000 to 40,000 people. Tragedies do happen in this country. America is not exempt, but God continues to bless America with the volunteer spirit of community, friendship caring and sacrifice wherever and whenever tragedy occurs.

We still are the only country to send men to the moon. We create more new millionaires than any other country in the world. We send countless numbers of young people to colleges, universities and technical schools in order to train, educate and prepare new generations to prosper in a technologically changing world.

Mr. Wright, our country not only assists Israel to care for its defense, we also discovered the oil, dug the oil, built the refineries and by the way, enriched the Arab world while doing so. We have helped take China into the 21^st century where their factories are equipped to produce the many goods sold in America. We provided funds and technology to Vietnam. We built the economy of WWII Europe and helped rebuild, restore and refinance the war devastated economies of our then defeated enemies in Japan and Germany. Our staggering foreign aid goes throughout the world. We build water wells in Africa. We provide power plants throughout Southeast Asia. We send food to famine struck countries whenever crisis occurs. We even hire out of work actors from Canada to become major TV and motion pictures stars.

But yes, Mr. Wright it could be possible for God to curse our beneficent land. Take your lesson from your predecessor Balaam (Revelation 2:14). Who was asked by the king of Moab to curse God’s people Israel as they journeyed to Canaan. This false prophet abused God’s people by advising the enemies of God how to make God curse his people by infiltrating the populace with idol worshippers, those who promoted an immoral and homosexual lifestyle and instilling within the people a disrespect for life by killing infants and children on the altar of a selfish, lascivious, ignorant, idolatrous religious practices. If enough false teachers/prophets of doom like Balaam and you, Mr. Wright are able to sound the call to forsake and despise a God-blessed culture, tradition and morality while embracing a culture of Marxist, humanistic godlessness and rebellion; well then God will damn our country. But if and when that happens, God always raises a new people who will embrace his word, keep his moral and ethical codes, walk by faith, exhibit a loving and benevolent spirit and spread the gospel of truth, integrity, salvation and freedom elsewhere. God’s blessing will never return void and prophets of rebellion, who promote an unthankful spirit and disrespectful attitude will always feel the sting of rejection from God’s people.

So Mr. Wright, I will offer my prayers to the God on High that He will reject your prayer of hate, prejudice and defeat all the while continuing to God Bless America. Amen!

Buckets of urine, slingshots, anti-bus weapons seized in raid on anti-RNC protesters

Ramsey County sheriff's deputies found weapons and devices to disable buses - among other items - in searches in the Twin Cities last night and today.

Authorities said the items came from "key members of the RNC Welcoming Committee," a self-described anarchist group.

Five people have been arrested and four properties have been searched, according to the sheriff's office.

The statement said the items found in the searches included:

Materials to create "sleeping dragons" (PVC pipe, chicken wire, duct tape), which is when protesters lock themselves together
Large amounts of urine, including three to five gallon buckets of urine
Wrist rockets (slingshots)
A machete, hatchet and several throwing knives
a gas mask and filter
Empty glass bottles
Rags
Flammable liquids
Homemade caltrops (devises used to disable buses in roads)
Metal pipes
Axes
Bolt cutters
Sledge hammers
Repelling equipment
Kryptonite locks
Empty plastic buckets cut and made into shields

The five people being held at the Hennepin County jail are under arrest on suspicion of conspiracy to riot, conspiracy to commit civil disorder and conspiracy to damage property.

Arrested at the 17th Avenue home were Monica Rachel Bicking, 23, Erin Chase Trimmer, 23, and Garrett Scott Fitzgerald, 25, Nestor said.

Nathanel David Secor, 26,was arrested at the 23rd Avenue South home.

Erik Charles Oseland, 21, was arrested an undisclosed location, the sheriff's office said.

"Conspiracy to riot was the charge used against the Chicago Eight in 1968 as part of a politically motivated prosecution," said Bruce Nestor, president of the Minnesota chapter of the National Lawyers Guild. "It is a charge that is essentially used for preventive detention."

"And this is a moment that requires resolve and toughness and strength of heart in the American president. And my running mate is a man who has shown those qualities in the darkest of places and in the service of his country. A colleague once said about Senator McCain: That man did things for this country that few people could go through; never forget that. And that speaker was former Senator John Glenn of Ohio. And John Glenn knows something about heroism.

"And I'm going to make sure nobody does forget that in his campaign. There is only one candidate who has truly fought for America, and that man is John McCain.

"This is a moment -- this is a moment when great causes can be won and great threats overcome, depending on the judgment of our next president. In a dangerous world, it is John McCain who will lead America's friends and allies in preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

"It was John McCain who cautioned long ago about the harm that Russian aggression could do to Georgia and to other small Democratic neighbors and to the world oil markets.

"It was Senator McCain who refused to hedge his support for our troops in Iraq, regardless of the political costs. And you know what? As the mother of one of those troops and as the commander of Alaska's National Guard, that's the kind of man I want as our commander in chief.

"Profiles in courage, they can be hard to come by these days. You know, so often we just find them in books. But next week when we nominate John McCain for president, we're putting one on the ballot!

"To serve as vice president beside such a man would be the privilege of a lifetime, and it's fitting that this trust has been given to me 88 years almost to the day after the women of America first gained the right to vote.

"I think as well today of two other women who came before me in national elections. I can't begin this great effort without honoring the achievements of Geraldine Ferraro in 1984, and, of course, Senator Hillary Clinton, who showed such determination and grace in her presidential campaign.

"It was rightly noted in Denver this week that Hillary left 18 million cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling in America. But it turns out the women of America aren't finished yet, and we can shatter that glass ceiling once and for all.

"So for my part, the mission is clear. The next 67 days I'm going to take our campaign to every part of our country and our message of reform to every voter of every background, in every political party, or no party at all. If you want change in Washington, if you hope for a better America, then we're asking for your vote on the 4th of November.

"My fellow Americans, come join our cause. Join our cause and help our country to elect a great man the next president of the United States. And I thank you, and I -- God bless you, I say, and God bless America. Thank you."
